A group of us (8) just spent this past weekend (August 26-28, 2011) at The Beaver River Lodge. What a great place to go to. We paddled in on friday, taking our time and enjoying the beautiful sites, listening to the Loons and having a picnic on one of the sandy islands. The lodge is a rustic and wonderful place to stay. The owners are great. A great place to come and experience the Great Adirondacks without needing a tent or having to cook. Great food, comfortable beds, fun bar and a fantastic place to go to. You don’t need a boat, you can go in by boat taxi. Everyone needs to expericence a weekend at Beaver River Lodge.

We were looking for a quiet weekend doing nothing and that’s exactly what we got at Beaver River Lodge! Super friendly hosts, a clean hotel with very reasonable rates in a quiet & peaceful setting. Awesome meals, especially the homemade bread and black angus steaks. Sitting on the large enclosed porch reading and enjoying the quiet surroundings made for a very relaxing weekend. We look forward to returning and seeing the progress made on your already wonderful rustic lodge. Tell Mackenzie hello, Thank You for a great weekend and we can’t wait to return!!!

Great time!!! Discovered the Beaver River Lodge while on the snowmobile trail and now it will be a regular stop for us. The people are great. The bar was fun. Took a tour and simply fell in love with the place, can’t wait to plan a stay. Definitely stopping each time we are on the trails this winter~

Had a really fun time!!! We were snowmobiling on our way to the Norridgewock Lodge but discovered the Beaver River Lodge, it might have been the beer sign that pulled us in, but its the folks who run the place that will keep us coming back. we had a ton of fun and the prices were reasonable. The HMWH snowmobile club will definitely be putting this on our regular stops. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Was up there over the winter and meet Barry, one of the owners. While talking to him I told him that I had a group coming up in July and would like them to see his place. Barry had me call when we where up there to see if we wanted to still come out. We took 16 people over to the lodge on Saturday and Barry brought a extra person with him that weekend to help wait on us, thanks so much Becky. This is one of the nicest places to go and the people are so great to talk to. Anyone who is up there should go sese them. GREAT PEOPLE!!!

Thanks Barry we had a wonderful time. Hope George got his bus fixed.
Can’t wait until the snow starts falling and we get over there again

Great stay! Very clean with decor from back in the day. BRL is definitely the place to go if you want no cell service and to get away from it all! The owners are the best! We have already booked our dates for next year!

What a priceless treasure! A great place for deep morning meditations (aka sleeping in!) Jose & Barry are the best hosts ever! We feel very privileged to have been treated like part of the family :) Scott & I are trying to come back for the clambake/pig roast in Sept. Before that, I may just come back to stay on my own, since I need summer to de-stress from last school year. So glad that we took a chance to stay somewhere new & discovered a new world we can’t wait to visit again!

We just booked our second visit to Brl and the anticipation is killing me! Our first stay was so relaxing and the accommodations were so perfect that it took months for the peaceful feeling to leave us! Everything at the BRL seems to be so effortless!! See you in a few weeks!!

  13. Phil & Michele French

Our stay at Beaver River Lodge was fantastic! The scenery is beautiful, the lodge clean and well run, the food delicious, and the entire staff friendly and helpful. Seeing singer/songwriter Chris Wilson in person is something that must be experienced to be fully appreciated. Our memories of BRL will last a lifetime, and I cannot wait to go again. Both of us left with a sense of inner peace that has thoroughly enriched our lives. We simply cannot stop thinking about the place! Many thanks to all.

Ran into Barry on the Stillwater Reservoir. We where on our sleds, and descided to stop buy and check the place out in January 2014. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! Friendly, clean.Thank s Barry for the great tour! Will make it our regular stop when we are in the area. Looking to foward to renting rooms on the weekend in the future. FOOD WAS GREAT! Great place to undwind and take your boots off!! Thanks Barry, See ya again real soon!!!!

My party of 7 friends booked 4 rooms for the weekend of Jan 16th. We unloaded our sleds at Stillwater and Barry met us in the parking lot ready to haul our belongings over to the Lodge on their sleds. This was just the beginning of the hospitality that was showed to us over our weekend stay. From the well kept clean rooms, including thick mattresses and soft pillows to the warmth of the stove and lounging in the supple leather couch, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would definatley reccomend this to any groups or couples, and singles, looking to truly get away from it all, special thanks again to Barry, Jose, Mark and special guest bartender Alicia for the most hospitable stay!

I had my first heart attack age 62 July 4th 2014 SO what did I do this July 4th 2015 to celebrate? I found The Beaver River Lodge. It was exactly what I was looking for. I love the Adirondacks since I was a kid. My Dad would take us for 2 week vacation to campsite the Ranger took us to by canoe and dropped us off. Wilderness Galore!!! The BRL was the same. Long dirt road to dock on to a boat driven by Jose’ another 1/2 hour ride back in time to the most beautiful 1800′s lodge I’ve ever seen .Behind us was part owner Barry on a jet ski with a lovely crew member clinging for her life. The lodge is run by large electric generator so silent set back into the woods .Every one there was so friendly you felt you were part of their family. I was fortunate to meet Chris Wilson a world traveled singer songwriter who provided GREAT guitar sounds equal if not better than beloved John Denver. Our nightly bonfire got every one up and dancing. The mornings greeted us with delicious homemade breakfast of your choice selections. The rooms were so clean with hand carved headboards. The bathroom was up to date with glass shower vessel bowl vanities and claw foot bathtub. The screened in outdoor porch was accented with beautiful (Barry taken) photos of mountain scenery Mackenzie was proudly displayed(our small resident doggie) Kayaks are provided daily great fishing! The homemade evening meals were superb(and reasonable priced).I also met some of the infamous Beaver River Gals Gang who provided laughter live entertainment(one was called Disaster Sister) As you can tell this will always be my 4th of July celebration. To sum it up The Beaver River Lodge is a combination Jeremiah Johnson The Waltons and topped off with Cheers. Please treat yourself (but keep it a secret) Thank all of you so much! Even a heart attack has a silver lining…….

We heard about this place from some friends and decided to pay them a visit. We are sooo glad we did. Barry and Jose’ ( our hosts ) were awesome. THE FOOD WAS GREAT!, the place was super clean and we got to relax and unwind in a very unique place with some very nice people. These folks really know what they’re doing and we are going to get back up there as soon as we can pull it off.

Thanks again Barry and Jose’ ( and McKenzie )
